KUCHING, Nov 9: A total of 13 suspects, including 10 teenagers, have been arrested in connection with a recent murder outside a hotel in Batu Kawah.
Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri said on 6.56am, Oct 31, 2023, the police received a report of a brawl involving a hotel staff and some members of the public which resulted in serious injuries to the staff.
The police subsequently opened an investigation paper.
After the victim passed away, the case was investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
“As of today, 13 arrests have been made for their involvement and they are all still under remand,” said Mohd Azman in a press conference after the opening of Sarawak Police Headquarters Pavilion which was streamed live on social media.
He said out of the 13 suspects, preliminary investigation showed that 10 of them are teenagers. — DayakDaily
