KUCHING, July 26: One person was killed while four others were injured in a three-vehicle accident that occurred in front of the Yu Lung San Tian En Temple at Mile 15, Jalan Sibu–Bintulu today.
In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 5.46pm, and firefighters from the Sibu Jaya station were deployed.
The accident involved Proton Saga cars and one articulated lorry, with nine victims: four in a Proton Saga MC3 (two men, two women) and five in a Proton Saga FLX (two men, three women).
The victims in the Proton Saga MC3 were unharmed, while the four victims—two men and two women—in the Proton Saga FLX sustained injuries, with one woman pronounced dead at the scene by Health Ministry personnel.
The victim was subsequently handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
