KUCHING, Oct 23: The eagerly anticipated concert by renowned Malaysian-born singer-songwriter Yunalis Mat Zara’ai, better known as Yuna, that was set to grace the stage at Hikmah Exchange here on Oct 27 has been rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Concert organiser RK Liveasia took to Instagram on Oct 21 to announce the event’s unfortunate postponement.
“Please note that Yuna’s show originally slated for the 27th October 2023 in Kuching, Sarawak will be rescheduled to a later date.
“All existing tickets purchased will be valid for the new date. The option for a refund is available as well. Stay tuned for further updates!” read the post.
On its Instagram page, co-organiser Icon Entertainment also announced the concert’s postponement and expressed regret for the delay.
Yuna was originally scheduled to perform in Kuching as part of her ‘Yuna Asia Tour’ on Oct 27, signifying a shift in her concert focus in Malaysia from the Klang Valley to Sarawak’s capital.
Prior to Kuching, the tour was held on Oct 16 in Tokyo, Japan and on Oct 18 in Singapore.
Yuna’s Kuching stop is in line with the promotion of her fifth music album, Y5.
Tickets for the concert have been on sale since Oct 2 for a starting price of RM250.
The 37-year-old singer has released several popular hits in both English and Malay, including ‘Hello’, ‘Dan Sebenarnya’, ‘Rescue’, ‘Terukir di Bintang’, and her latest single, ‘Masih Sunyi’. — DayakDaily
