KUCHING, Sept 6: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) will be organising a webinar entitled, “Exploring the Unity in Sarawak through Inter-generational Understanding” on Sept 9, 2021 (Thursday).
YPS in a statement today said the webinar, which concludes a five-part series that began in July 2021,will be held starting at 2pm via Zoom and Facebook Live, through YPS and Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) page.
“The objective of this webinar is to emphasise on the importance of having inter-generational understanding and connection in order to bridge the ever-widening divide between generations and age groups, as well as to allow different generations and age groups to learn from and benefit from each other knowledge and experiences,” it said.
According to the statement, the webinar will feature prominent speakers such as State Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah; Associate Professor, Faculty of Language and Communication of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Prof Dr Ting Su Hie; and Yayasan Khazanah Scholar and Education Advocate Dawn Adrian.
“It will be moderated by Youth Activist Mohamed Hyypia,” the statement read.
