Accused Izamri Rabaie, from Kampung Samariang Pinggir, was charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code, to be read together with Section 326A of the same Act, for causing hurt to his mother by using a glass plate at a house in Kampung Samariang Pinggir on Jan 5, 2019, at about 3.50pm.

Under Section 324 of the Penal Code, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term that may extend to 10 years or with fine or with whipping or with any two of such punishment.

Under Section 326A of the Penal Code, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term that may extend to twice of the maximum term for which he would have been liable on conviction for that offence under the relevant section, notwithstanding any other punishment provided for that offence.
