SARIKEI, Aug 30: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii urged the younger generation to seize the opportunities and get involved in the digital economy.

One of the things the younger generation can do to take part in this endeavour, he suggested was creating or producing products by means of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as well as using Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in agricultural activities.

“This will enable them to penetrate the mainstream or downstream of markets globally through online and using digital applications for creative and innovative entrepreneurship,” he addressed the ‘Berambeh Ngan Abang Jo’ Townhall Session here today.

“We are very fortunate to have a leader who is ambitious and with a clear sense of direction to leapfrog Sarawak’s development to become a developed and high income state by the year 2030,” he commended Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
