KUCHING, April 14: The Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School (YSISS) Sibu is expected to open by the middle of the year, says Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Sarawak, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee.
In a Facebook post today, he said there are already students and teachers, but they are at the YSISS Kuching as of now and will be moved to the new school by mid-year.
“Our target is clear—our best students, especially from rural areas and low-income families, should be given opportunities to study at international schools. Hopefully, they will be able to further their studies at internationally renowned universities.
“We always see physical development like roads, electricity, water and bridges. But at the same time, the Sarawak government also invests in developing quality education for Sarawakians,” he said. — DayakDaily
