SIBU, July 27: The Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School in Sibu is expected to start operations in 2026, says Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Sarawak Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee.

“This school is located next to Kolej Laila Taib (KLT) here, and its construction is currently underway,” he said while launching the Sibu Education Expo 2024 today.

He said the school would provide an international syllabus and is open to anyone regardless of background.

While students from the B40 group are given priority, he said it will still be open to other groups as long as they qualify.

Following that, he called on the students in Sibu to seize the educational opportunities provided.

“I hope our students see this opportunity because we already have good educational institutions for us to study,” said the Nangka assemblyman. — DayakDaily
