MIRI, April 13: People often say bad neighbours can make one’s life miserable.
An 18-year-old waiter can vouch for this, based on his firsthand experience. Some two weeks ago, he was verbally assaulted by a neighbour for no apparent reason.
Then last night, the same neighbour chased him on a motorcycle, forcing him to hide behind a hotel in Lutong for a good 15 minutes until the coast was clear.
The bizarre episode started at about 11pm. When the young waiter left his house at Tudan Desaras on a motorcycle, he soon realised that he was being tailed by the same neighbour, also on a motorcycle.
Fearing for his safety, he sped off, but the neighbour gave chase in Lutong area.
But upon reaching a hotel in the area, the waiter managed to lose him. He lodged a police report earlier today. — DayakDaily
