MIRI, Jan 7: A 3-metre long cobra was sighted early this morning, slithering outside a worker’s quarters in Eastwood Valley at Jalan Miri By-Pass.

The venomous snake was spotted by a 29-year-old housewife around 6.54am, moments after her husband walked towards the bathroom located outside their room.

Worried that others might be harmed by the snake, she immediately told her husband to call Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) to catch the reptile.

Upon their arrival at the scene around 7.29am, they discovered that the snake was hiding under a forklift.

It took them less than 20 minutes to capture the cobra and release it to safely into the wild. —DayakDaily
