Work starts on Miri City’s longest jogging track at Taman Bulatan Park Miri

MIRI, April 19: The extension project for Taman Bulatan Park Miri is currently being implemented, says Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew.

According to a report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Ting said the 1.7km-long extension project was sponsored by Shin Yang.

“The jogging track will be extended by 1.7 kilometres which is sponsored by Shin Yang Company.

“Several facilities will also be upgraded such as decks and basketball courts.

“The entire project will take two months to complete,” he said during a press conference after inspecting the project site here yesterday.

Ting added that once the project is completed, the jogging track will be the longest such track in the city, which is 2.5km-long.

“This project will make this place a beautiful park as well as benefit the people of Miri,” he said.
