KUCHING, May 5: The creativity and ingenuity displayed by the 47 vendors at the Woo Woo Market shows that Sarawak has the opportunity to emerge at the forefront of the nation’s economic scene by leveraging the potential of small-scale enterprises.

According to Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, who attended the market held at the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) yesterday (May 4), the market served as a platform for local entrepreneurs to cultivate a sense of community among residents from diverse backgrounds.

“I am proud to see individuals from various ethnicities coming together to showcase their products and talents. This inclusivity reflects the essence of our State.

“Platforms like the Woo Woo Market have become instrumental in providing visibility to emerging entrepreneurs and their innovative products,” said Wee.

He is also optimistic regarding Sarawak’s economic outlook, citing its position as third in the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) index. — DayakDaily
