KUCHING, June 24: The natural attractions of Wong Ajong Waterfall and Batu Nabau in Engkilili have been identified as promising new tourism destinations with strong potential to boost the local economy.

According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, Sri Aman Division Resident Mahra Salleh recently conducted a site visit to assess the tourism development prospects of the two locations, accompanied by Engkilili Sub-District assistant administrative officer Edwin Mat and staff from both the Sub-District and Resident’s Office.

Batu Nabau, located not far from Engkilili town, has drawn attention for its unique rock formation resembling a snake, making it a potential standout geotourism product that also ties into local folklore.

Meanwhile, Wong Ajong Waterfall has long been a popular recreational site, especially during the hot season. Its cool, crystal-clear waters and lush surroundings rich in flora and fauna offer visitors a refreshing nature escape.
