SAMALAJU, June 24: A 62-year-old man sustained a broken arm following a crash involving his 4WD vehicle at KM20 of the Sungai Seberang bridge along Jalan Bintulu-Bakun earlier today.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Samalaju received the emergency call at 12.47pm and immediately dispatched a team to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters assessed the situation and found that the victim was not physically trapped in the vehicle but was unable to exit due to his injury.
The operation commander instructed the rescue team to stabilise the man using a C-collar before assisting him out of the vehicle with the help of a stretcher.
He was then handed over to a Ministry of Health ambulance team for further medical treatment. — DayakDaily
