KUCHING, Sept 28: A 46-year-old driver lost her life after her vehicle hit a pickup truck from behind at Jalan Tun Hussein Onn, Bintulu last night.
The incident happened at 7.42pm. Police received the emergency call at 8.14pm and immediately despatched personnel to the scene. The woman was pronounced dead by a medical officer at the scene.
According to State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the deceased’s child had revealed the deceased had a medical history of high blood pressure.
The deceased’s body was later taken to Bintulu Hospital. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
