Woman pinned inside vehicle following collision with 4WD

Firefighters working their way to rescue the woman that was pinned inside her vehicle following the collision.

KUCHING, Feb 9: A 36-year-old woman was pinned inside her vehicle after a collision with a four-wheel drive (4WD) at Jalan Stampin Baru, early today.

According to the state Fire and Rescue operation centre, firefighters from the Tabuan fire station responded to the emergency call at 3.41am. The department also dispatched its Batu Lintang Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit.

“The operation commander reported that the incident involved a sedan vehicle and a 4WD, and firefighters carried out works to release the woman, who was driving the sedan vehicle, that was pinned at the driver seat.


“At the same time, the 23-year-old 4WD’s driver was successfully brought out of his vehicle by firefighters and was given an initial medical treatment by the Batu Lintang EMRS unit before being brought to a private hospital,” the department said.

After being rescued from her vehicle, the woman was handed over to the medical staff at location for further action. — DayakDaily
