Woman makes daring escape from rapist in Sibu

SIBU, Oct 24: A 25-year-old rape victim broke her leg after jumping from the first floor of a building to escape from her rapist.

According to a report lodged by the victim, the suspect, who is her neighbour broken into her rented accommodation and trespassed into her room which is located on the first floor at Jalan Tan Sri.

The suspect caught the victim with a strangle hold around the neck and proceeded to rape her.


The victim however managed to escape through the room window and jumped from the first floor, which caused her to suffer a broken right leg.

The suspect was subsequently arrested by police after attempting to jump from the second floor of the building to escape. He changed his mind about jumping after he realised the height of the jump. — DayakDaily
