MIRI, Oct 11: It was a nightmare come true for a 54-year-old woman from Pujut 1D after she found a one-metre-long snake hiding in her toilet.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday around 8.34am.
According to sources, the housewife spotted the serpent wriggling around in the water upon entering the bathroom that morning.
She immediately ran out and called Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance to pluck out the deadly cobra using a halter and metal pole.
The lively creature put up a fight as it tried to escape but the responders managed to pin it down and place it into a cage.
The housewife said that it was the first tine there had been a snake in her house.
“Snakes are my worst nightmare. It made me shiver when I saw one in the toilet,” the woman said.
“The snake has gone, but I still can’t stop thinking about it when I sit on the toilet,” she said. — DayakDaily
