MIRI, June 8: A two-vehicle collision that at Jalan Lapangan Terbang Miri early this morning left one person dead and injured three others.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department operation centre, the collision involving a Perodua Bezza and a four wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle.
After receiving an alert about the incident at 2am, a team of firefighters from Miri Sentral fire station was despatched to the scene to help extricate one of the victims who was reported to be trapped in the back seat of the Perodua Bezza.
The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old woman, Lua Ukam.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from Miri Hospital, while three other victims injured in the crash have been taken to Miri Hospital for medical treatment. — DayakDaily
