Woman injured over jungle produce spot

MIRI, July 31: A woman in her late 30’s sustained injuries on both her hands and legs following a physical altercation over a jungle produce spot.

A report has been lodged at the Miri Central Police Station following the incident that occurred at Kampung Paya Sepurau, Bekenu, yesterday.


The victim claimed that she was also threatened by the suspect, who brandished a machete when entering the area to look for jungle produce at around 9am.

Fearing for her safety, the victim and three other relatives fled the scene.

According to sources, the man allegedly threatened to kill the complainant if she entered the spot again. — DayakDaily
