JULAU, Sept 27: A 29-year-old woman has been compounded RM3,000 for violating Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan.

Julau District Police Chief DSP Andam Sulin said that the woman resides at a longhouse which has been placed under lockdown from Sept 17 to 29.

However, she was caught at about 3.15pm yesterday by a police standard operating procedure (SOP) monitoring team which was on patrol duty.

“The woman was found going in and out of the longhouse without any permission,” he said.

The compound was issued under Regulation 17 (2) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021.

Adam urged those who have been served quarantine orders to comply with them so as to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. — DayakDaily
