KUCHING, Aug 11: Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) will shift to using the electronic ticketing system (e-tickets) for Wind Cave and Fairy Cave Nature Reserves starting next Monday (Aug 14).
In a Facebook post yesterday, it said the upcoming change in the park entry system was to enhance convenience and environmental sustainability practices.
The e-ticket can be purchased at the caves’ main entrance, and visitors must present their e-tickets upon entry.
“This innovative approach aims to streamline your park experience and reduce paper waste,” it said.
SFC further said the e-ticket system will gradually be extended to several other destinations, namely Semenggoh Nature Reserve on Sept 4, Bako National Park (Sept 18), Matang Wildlife Centre (Oct 2), Kubah National Park (Oct 2), Gunung Gading National Park (Oct 2), Niah National Park (Oct 16), Lambir Hills National Park (Oct 16), Similajau National Park (Oct 16), and Visitors Information Centre, Kuching (Oct 30).
“The transition to e-tickets will simplify your park visits and contribute to our collective efforts to conserve the environment. Rest assured, the process of obtaining e-tickets will be user-friendly and easily accessible to all,” it added. — DayakDaily
