“I am no longer interested to rejoin the party (PKR),” he told reporters on the sidelines of a press conference today at his service centre along Jalan Borneo Heights.

The press conference was held to announce the Bidayuh Mystique Festival 2022 organised by Persatuan Segu Bunuk Penrissen (PSBP).

Willie, who is Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities declined to comment further on his political manoeuvres at the moment.

“I want less politicking for now and just want to concentrate on my ministerial duties and my duties as a MP,” he said when asked on the status of his application to join Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB).

Willie last month said he had applied to join PBB a couple of months ago.

For the record, Willie won the Puncak Borneo seat under a PKR ticket in the 2018 general election, but left the party in February 2020.

He garnered 18, 885 votes and a 4,005 majority, defeating Genot Sinel from PBB, who garnered 14,860 votes and Bulb Ribos from Aspirasi, who garnered 795 votes. ā€” DayakDaily
