Whoever elected to represent Batu Lintang, no more party-hopping please, says GPS’ Sih

KUCHING, Dec 12: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for N11 Batu Lintang Sih Hua Tong is calling upon all his election opponents to pledge to not indulge in party-hopping should they win the seat.

He said the elected representative, no matter who it is going to be, must be accountable for their promises and not go back on their words.


“To my counterparts contending in N11 Batu Lintang, let us together pledge to the Batu Lintang voters that whoever is elected and given the mandate by the voters, please, no more party-hopping.

“Be responsible, be accountable and respect the mandate of the voters,”Ā  he emphasised.

Sih, who is also Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Batu Lintang chief, said projects involving flood mitigation and increasing quality of living would be among his priorities should he be given the mandate to serve as the elected representative.

“Other than flood mitigation projects, I think creating a quality living environment is among the next major tasks I would hop on and take up should I be given the mandate.

“To the N11 Batu Lintang voters, I urge you all to give me a chance to serve. Should I be given a chance, I will definitely do my best to serve you all,” he said during a press conference at SUPP headquarters here today.

Among others also present were SUPP operations director Datuk Matthew Chen, GPS candidates Dato Wee Hong Seng (Padungan), Milton Foo Tiang Wee (Pending), Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian (Batu Kawah), Wilfred Yap Yau Sin (Kota Sentosa), and Lo Khere Chiang (Batu Kitang).
