KUCHING, May 20: “#KamiTakJualKarpet, #wetakecareofparksandwildlife”, emphasised Sarawak Forest Corporation (SFC) using these two hashtags after its corporate logo was infringed by a Facebook account known as ‘Arab Enterprise’.

SFC put up an alert on its Facebook page today, to warn the public to be aware that its corporate logo had been stolen and used illegally by the Arab Enterprise Facebook account.

“Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) wishes to alert the public that this Facebook account was not authorised or permitted by SFC to use our logo or assist with any transaction related to SFC.

“Kindly disregard any messages or posts originating from the FB account (Arab Enterprise),” the post read in reminding people not to be gullible but to always verify the information they came across.

SFC also said that they have reported the account and is liasing with the relevant authorities to rectify the matter as soon as possible.

“Thank you for your cooperation. Stay safe and vigilant.”

A check on the Arab Enterprise Facebook account by DayakDaily showed that the page was only created recently on May 14, with the description reading: ‘the best on9 (online) shopping’ site.

Only one post showing photos of various designs of carpets was posted on the day the page was created.

The post has already gained 198 likes, 24 shares and 125 comments asking about the carpets as of press time. — DayakDaily
