Water supply disruption in Tabuan, Stutong, surrounding areas from Jan 10, 9pm to Jan 11, 5am

KUCHING, Jan 9: Residents and consumers in Tabuan, Stutong, Tabuan Tranquility, The Northbank, La Promenade, and surrounding areas are advised to store sufficient water in preparation for a scheduled water supply disruption.

The disruption, expected to occur from 9pm on Jan 10 to 5am on Jan 11, is due to repair works on a 600mm main pipe leak along Jalan Canna, according to an advisory notice from the Kuching Water Board (KWB).

During this period, affected areas may experience low water pressure, no water supply, and discoloured water. The impacted locations include:

  • Roads: Jalan Canna, Jalan Keranji, Jalan Bayor Bukit, Jalan Urat Mata, Jalan Wan Alwi, Jalan Song, Jalan Muara Tabuan, Jalan Setia Raja, Jalan Kedandi, Jalan Stutong Jaya, Jalan Usahajaya.
  • Residential areas: Stutong Indah, Tabuan Desa, Tabuan Dusun, Tabuan Laru, Taman Rimba, Taman Rimba Samajaya, Taman Riveria, Taman Tiya Vista, La Promenade, Binyuk Lot.
  • Commercial areas: Tabuan Tranquility, The Northbank, Emart Tabuan Jaya, Premier Food Republic, TT3 Food Court, Stutong Market, Stutong Commercial Centre, Tabuan Jaya Police Complex, Tabuan Jaya Customs.

KWB assured that water tankers will be deployed to affected areas to provide temporary relief.

However, during the recovery period, residents and consumers may still encounter low water pressure, air locks and dirty water.
