KUCHING, July 28: South Korean K-pop girl group Carmen, a Japanese drumming ensemble, and two cultural groups from China’s Quanzhou and Zhenjiang will grace the stage and enrich the atmosphere at the highly anticipated Kuching Festival Fair (KFF) 2023.
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said these four groups will be featured as part of the International Friendship Cities Night (IFCN).
“This is one of the most awaited programmes during the Kuching Festival Fair. We are thrilled to bring back this performance, as the groups last performed here in 2019,” he said in a statement today.
The performers hailing from MBKS Friendship Cities, including Guro in South Korea, Quanzhou in Fujian Province China, Zhenjiang in Jiangsu Province China, and Asuke in Japan, will showcase their talents during the official festival launch tomorrow (July 29) from 5.30pm to 8pm.
Additionally, they will perform on Sunday (July 30) and Monday (July 31), starting at 7pm until 9pm.
Wee extends a warm invitation to all Kuchingnites to attend and support the performances from the Friendship Cities.
“We encourage everyone to bring their family and friends to the MBKS Theatre at night and enjoy these captivating performances,” he urged.
