KUCHING, Aug 31: Police have arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly slashing his 49-year-old victim with a machete, while being high on substance.
The 12.30am incident happened after a heated argument between the two at Kampung Semilang, here.
The victim sustained injuries to his abdomen and head from the machete attack and was sent to Sarawak General Hospital for treatment.
According to the police, the assault was caused by a long grudge of the suspect since 2017, where the victim was said to have reported the suspect to the police for an alleged drug abuse case.
The police also confirmed that the suspect’s urine test showed positive for Methamphetamine, also known as syabu, following his arrest. — DayakDaily
