BINTULU, Sept 1: A non-permanent single-storey house structure at Kampung Ulu Nyalau Samalaju here was completely destroyed by fire early this morning.
The authorities received an emergency call at 3.19am and a team from the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (Bomba) Bintulu station was immediately deployed to the scene located about 18km away.
It took seven fire fighters half-an-hour to control the fire after arriving at the scene. The operation was offically ended at 5.40am after the fire was completely extinguished.
No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is being investigated. — DayakDaily
