KUCHING, Sept 8: The Covid-19 vaccination drive for teenagers aged 16 to 17-years-old in Limbang will kick of with SMK Seri Patiambun students on Sept 10 from 8am to 12pm at the Civic Centre vaccination centre (PPV).
The Ministry of Health, in a notice today, informed that the schedules for the teen vaccination drive have been planned at five secondary schools in Limbang.
After SMK Seri Patiambun, it will be followed by an afternoon session from 1pm to 4pm for SMK Agama Limbang as well as students schooling outside Limbang District but in Limbang on the date of vaccination.
On Sept 11, the morning session (8am to 12pm) is scheduled for SMK Kubong followed by afternoon session (1pm to 4pm) for SMK Medamit.
On Sept 12, the morning session is scheduled for SMK Limbang, followed by afternoon session for teenagers who have dropped out of schools or are not schooling.
For teenagers who have dropped out or are not schooling as well as students schooling outside Limbang District, the Health Department advised that they first register their information including full name, MyKad number and telephone number by WhatsApp messaging the Limbang Civic Centre PPV at 013-8301046.
On the day of vaccination, vaccine recipients are allowed to be accompanied by one parent, either mother or father only, to prevent congestion at the PPV.
All recipients are reminded to dress appropriately to ease the injection process, bring along their MyKad or passport for non-citizens for registration purposes as well as a medical card if any and OKU card for persons with disability.
Everyone is also urged to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOP) and other health and safety precautions at the PPV to ensure a smooth vaccination process.
