Unemployed man gets death sentence for killing 3 people in Kuching

KUCHING, June 19: A jobless man was today sentenced to death by the Kuching High Court for murdering three individuals in Jalan Matang, here, in 2017.

Judge Ravinthran N. Paramaguru ruled that the prosecution had proven the case against Ulin Blukok, 44, beyond reasonable doubt and found him guilty of the charges framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code.


However, after passing the death sentence, Ravinthran advised Ulin to appeal against the sentence to the Court of Appeal.

Ulin was charged with murdering Chermi Ijau @ Noraini Abdullah,52, Joe Steveny Gindi @ Mohd Joe Abdullah, 23, and Daud Abdullah, 64, at Kampung Tumu, Batu 10, Jalan Matang, at about 3.30pm on Jan 22, 2017.

Deputy public prosecutor Mohd Fillanny Siji prosecuted, while Ulin was represented by counsel Sylvester Wit Malang. — DayakDaily
