KUCHING, Dec 27: An unemployed man was fined RM 4,500 for committing mischief by damaging his father’s car and their house window.
According to the facts of the case, Mizi Mohamad, 22, was asking for money from his father. When his father refused to give him money, the accused got angry and damaged the windows on both sides of his father’s car and a window of their house at Lorong Hijrah Jaya, Jalan Bako, at about 11am on Dec 22, 2019.
Mizi pleaded guilty to a charge under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief, which carries an imprisonment term between one and five years and a fine, upon conviction.
Magistrate Nuruhuda Mohd Yusof sentenced him to a fine of RM4,500 in default of one year imprisonment.
