KUCHING, Nov 26: The public is urged not to be deceived by false information and misleading links shared by the “Info Malaysia Ufdate” account on TikTok.
The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) has called on netizens to remain cautious and vigilant when encountering such content.
The suspicious link and content falsely claimed that applications are now open for the Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak (SKAS) 2025.
It also alleges that the public can check their application status and assistance amount online.
The SKAS initiative, announced under Sarawak’s Budget 2025, is a genuine programme designed to provide financial aid ranging from RM150 to RM800 to Sarawakians in the low-income group.
The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on eligible individuals by helping them purchase essential items like rice, flour, and cooking oil.
To avoid falling victim to misinformation, the public is strongly advised to verify information through official channels and refrain from engaging with suspicious links. — DayakDaily
