KUCHING, Sept 8: United Kingdom’s Minister of State for Indo-Pacific, Anne-Marie Trevelyan, arrived in Kuching for a two-day work visit starting yesterday (Sept 7).
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the purpose of her visit was to hold a discussion session on climate cooperation, regional security, and trade.
She was scheduled to hold a meeting with Sarawak Energy Berhad Group chief executive officer Datu Sharbini Suhaili today (Sept 8) to discuss several matters, including green energy centres and hydrogen production plants, and visit refuelling sites for hydrogen-powered buses.
Anne-Marie will also visit the Borneo Cultures Museum and Semenggoh Wildlife Conservation Centre today.
Later in the afternoon, she will meet Sarawak’s Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, at Baitulmakmur before leaving for Kuala Lumpur at 6.45pm. — DayakDaily
