KUCHING, Nov 7: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) made a good decision in nominating its Women chief, Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodie, as Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for the P202 Sri Aman parliamentary seat.

GPS election director Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah said Doris is not only knowledgeable but also firm, capable, and has ‘walked’ the many kilometres in politics.

ā€œDoris has all the qualities to be your leader to lead you to a brighter future. So this election, do not waste your votes on the Opposition,ā€ he said to voters at a PRS Sri Aman Women gathering at a local restaurant in Sri Aman today.

Uggah pointed out that in the recent State election, voters in Sri Aman had chosen to vote for all six GPS candidates in the division, which indicates that they want development and progress.

ā€œPlease repeat such wise decisions in Sri Aman and Engkilili constituencies this 15th General Election (GE15),ā€ he added.

Meanwhile, according to Uggah, Sri Aman is on the verge of better things happening with the creation of the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) by the GPS government under the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He said Abang Johari had allocated a budget of RM1.5 billion for SADA to carry out its various development plans and programmes. He also said this is how GPS looks after the people, particularly those in rural areas, and this is just one of the many initiatives.

ā€œDo not throw away your tuah (good fortune). Instead, advise your relatives, friends, and all to vote only for GPS candidates.

ā€œLet us all work hard day and night. Our only mission today is to ensure Doris wins the Sri Aman seat,” he said. ā€” DayakDaily
