Uggah in three-cornered fight in Bukit Saban

SPAOH, Dec 6: It’s shaping up to be a three-cornered fight in Bukit Saban.

Bukit Saban incumbent Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas from Gabungan Parti Bersatu (GPS) is up against Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s (PKR) Mikail Mathew Abdullah and Parti Sarawak Bersatu’s (PSB) Andria Dundang, who are both contesting in the seat for the first time.

Uggah, who arrived at the Spaoh sub-district nomination centre here at about 8:15 am this morning was accompanied by his proposer Datuk Robert Lawson Chuat and Nahariah Mohd Spawi who was his seconder.


Robert is Betong MP while Nahairah is Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Bukit Saban women chief.

The returning officer for the N37 Bukit Saban seat is Charlie Keling.

In the 2016 State Election, Uggah won a straight fight against PKR’s Noel Changgai Bucking.

He garnered 5,524 votes to defeat Noel’s 925 votes with a majority of 4,599 votes. — DayakDaily
