Ali Biju to defend Krian against contenders from PSB, PBK, GPS-PDP

The candidates contesting in Krian seat in the 12th Sarawak Election.

KUCHING, Dec 6: Datuk Ali Biju from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) will have to defend his incumbency in Krian as an independent against three contenders in the 12th Sarawak Election.

Facing off against Musa Dinggat of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), Danny Kuan of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) and Friday Belik of Gabungan Parti Sarawak who is from the coalition’s component party of Progressive Democratic Party (GPS-PDP).


This was confirmed by the principal private secretary to Ali, who is also federal Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

At the nomination centre at Krian community hall, Ali was accompanied by proposer Elley Chandi and seconder Antok Jaya.

Currently, Ali who holds the position of vice-president in Bersatu, won the Krian seat in 2011 with a majority of 2,090 votes against Peter Nyarok Entrie of Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (PDP formerly known as SPDP), Liman Sujang of Sarawak National Party (SNAP) and independent Banyi Beriak.

In the 2016 Sarawak Election, he defended his seat against Kilat Beriak from SPDP with a majority of 1,640 votes. — DayakDaily
