KUCHING, Nov 26: Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi will officiate the closing ceremony and witness the final match of the Yayasan Sarawak Gold Cup Football Championship 2025.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), the Championship will be held at the Sarawak Stadium on November 29 at 3pm.
The announcement followed a courtesy call and presentation of official invitation letters to the Hed of State and his wife by a delegation from the tournament’s Organising Committee, led by Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Sarawak’s Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts, and Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development.
During the visit, Karim provided a detailed briefing on the tournament’s organisation and preparations for the final match.
Also present were Datu Mohamad Junaidi Mohidin, director of Yayasan Sarawak, along with senior officials from the Sarawak Education Department, including Omar Mahli, Kwang Law, Johnny Rasit, Liew Guo Chen, and Jim Andrew Janggi. – DayakDaily
