KUCHING, Aug 27: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, paid their last respects to the sister of the Sarawak Premier, Dayang Meliah Tun Datuk Abang Openg.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the couple arrived at Dayang Meliah’s home at No. 54, Sri Minangkabau 1, Jalan Muhibbah, in Kuching in the afternoon.
Also present to pay their last respects was the Premier’s wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, who was accompanied by close family members.
The funeral ceremony will take place at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery today.
Dayang Meliah, 89, was the third of ten siblings. She passed away at Normah Medical Specialist Centre at 1.50am today. — DayakDaily
