KUCHING, Oct 6: Two suspects, aged 18 and 23, were arrested after 52.7 grammes of drugs were found on their motorcycle at Sungai Moyan here yesterday afternoon.
A team of police from the Padawan Narcotics Crime Investigation Department branch made the discovery when checking the two suspects who were on a motorcycle at 3.15pm, Padawan District Police Chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan revealed in a press statement today.
The police later found two plastic packets with crystal-like substances believed to be methamphetamine (52.7 grammes) on the suspects’ motorcycle. The two suspects were arrested under Sec 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
“The two suspects were detained in Siburan Police Station for further action in tracking down the supplier of the drugs,” Aidil added.
He also urged the public to share information with the police if any drugs activities are found in their area by calling Padawan Police station at 082-862233. — DayakDaily
