MALUDAM, Sept 15: Two men died in a motorcycle-lorry collision at Jalan Triso-Maludam here on Thursday night.
The two victims were identified as 18-year-old Syahzuwan Abdul Rasid and 26-year-old Peng Billy.
Sri Aman District Police Chief DSP Mathew Manggie said the two victim riding on a motorcycle from Triso towards Maludam when the motorcycle run into a lorry around 7.26pm
“The pillion rider (Peng) of the motorcycle died at the scene while the rider (Syahzuwan) died while receiving treatment at the Maludam Clinic,” he said in a statement today.
Preliminary investigation found that the accident occurred when the motorcyclist lost control and slid under the lorry.
However, further investigation is still being conducted under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
