KUCHING, Sept 17: A collision involving two vehicles along Jalan Stutong Baru early this morning left a 40-year-old male passenger severely injured and the 34-year-old driver with minor injuries.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Tabuan Jaya responded to the emergency at 12.45am involving a Proton S70, driven by a 35-year-old foreign woman, and a Perodua Axia carrying two locals.
Before the firefighters arrived, members of the public had already assisted the Perodua Axia driver out of the vehicle. He sustained minor injuries.
Firefighters then worked to remove the male passenger, who was seriously injured. Both victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The Proton S70 driver was unharmed.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. — DayakDaily
