KUCHING: Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud was seen casting his vote at the Satok Sports Complex polling centre here today.
The Head of State was accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib, wo arrived at the venue at 11.40am.
Also present was Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Satok deputy chairman Datuk Ibrahim Baki who is also the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for N8 Satok.
The sports complex is one of the 10 polling stations under the Satok Seat constituency.
As of 11am, 24.6 per cent or 3,520 voters had casted their votes at N8 Satok. The constituency has 14,314 registered voters in total.
According to a source, Taib then accompanied his wife to SMK Tun Abang Haji Openg to cast her vote. — DayakDaily
