SIBU, Jan 27: Three persons which included a woman who were caught roaming in town on Jan 26, were fined RM1,000 for defying the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Sibu district police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said today that at about 11.10pm, a police MPV on beat duty at the Sibu Gateway area, detained the suspects aged between 28 to 52 for questioning.

“The suspects could not provide good reasons why they were still in the town at this hour when MCO is still being enforced,’ he said.
