Trienekens donates supplies to St Joseph’s outreach programme

KUCHING, July 6: Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd contributed household supplies including rice, cooking oil and powdered drinks for 700 households to the Cathedral Parish of St. Joseph’s outreach programme.

According to its media statement, the ‘Kuching Archdiocese Catholic Outreach’ or ‘The Outreach’ which made its first distribution in May 2020 is meant for needy communities.

Led by Cathedral Parish of St. Joseph’s Procurator Fr Vincent Chin, the programme is locally coordinated by priests and lay leaders of different parishes.

Subsequent aid was given to migrant workers in factories and construction sites around Kuching, Demak Laut and Kota Padawan.

As of today, The Outreach has helped approximately 4,600 families with the support of generous donors who made it possible for them to assist the communities in need.

Trienekens’ Deputy Group CEO Elvin Wee and Chief Operating Officer Alice Lee represented the company in a simple handover session held at the parish office here, yesterday.

According to Archbishop Simon Poh, who was present to receive Trienekens’ donations, the aid recipients comprise urban poor families and migrant workers throughout Kuching, Kota Padawan, Bau, Lundu, Serian, Bunan-Tepedu and Sri Aman.
