Transport Minister instructs contractor to fix newly completed drainage projects in Tudan

MIRI, July 23: Senadin assemblyman and Minister for Transport Sarawak, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin has directed the contractor responsible for the recently completed drainage upgrades in Tudan to address defects identified during the inspection.

The projects, which are currently within their 12-month defect liability period, require immediate attention to ensure proper repairs.

Lee told reporters this when met today after inspecting these two projects.

During the inspection, Lee highlighted the presence of cracks and other imperfections, instructing the contractor to rectify these issues promptly to ensure the durability and effectiveness of the drainage systems.

The two projects inspected involve upgrading the drainage systems at Jalan Melor Tudan and Tudan Lorong Melur 1.

The Jalan Melor Tudan project, which features a 453-meter-long ditch, cost RM439,650.

The Tudan Lorong Melur 1 project includes a 463-meter-long ditch and cost RM367,281.
