KUCHING, Dec 7: A teenage boy is confirmed to have drowned in the river along Jalan Matang, here on Wednesday (Dec 6).
Padawan district police acting chief DSP Lim Jaw Shyong said the police received a report regarding the incident at 1.27pm yesterday.
A team of police officers were immediately despatched to the scene of the incident to conduct an investigation.
“The victim was confirmed dead by the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and the cause of death was drowning,” he said in a statement today.
Further investigation of the case is still underway and the case is classified as sudden death (SDR).
