KUCHING, July 17: The traffic light junction at Mile 7 of Kota Sentosa will be closed temporarily from July 12 to Oct 12 to give way for the reconstruction of the pavement for the Pan Borneo Highway project.
The Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak in a statement today advised all road users to use the alternative road provided according to the directional sign boards installed along the road.
Among the routes affected by the temporary closure are the route from Batu Kitang to Kota Sentosa and Serian, route from Kota Sentosa to Batu Kitang and Kuching, route from Serian to Kota Sentosa, including the route from Kuching to Batu Kitang.
JKR Sarawak added that a U-turn road was also available for road users at Kuching Sentral (Mile 6) and in front of Shell station or the traffic light at Mile 8.
JKR Sarawak also apologised for any inconvenience caused and appreciated the cooperation from road users.
