Townhall session on Health White Paper to be held in Kuching tomorrow (April 27)

MIRI, April 26: A townhall session nationwide on the Health White Paper will be held by the Ministry of Health Malaysia as part of its efforts to engage and obtain input from various groups, with Kuching to be its first stop, says Deputy Minister of Health Lukanisman Awang Sauni.

“The Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa will fly to Kuching tommorow for the first townhall session to obtain input from health workers, academicians and share holders related to public health,” Lukanisman pointed out.

Lukanisman said this during his open house at his residence in Luak, Bakam on Wednesday.

The Health White Paper, which is in its final phase of completion will be presented in Parliament in its next session in May.

Therefore, he said, it is crucial for all to give their support for the development of a stronger health system.

“We are hoping that it (the Health White Paper) will become a legacy for the unity government,” he told the local media. — DayakDaily
