Tourism Minister want Oman-based low cost airline SalamAir’s route expansion to include S’wak, Sabah

KUCHING, Aug 19: Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) Dato Sri Tiong King Sing want Oman-based low cost airline SalamAir’s route expansion in Malaysia to include Sarawak and Sabah.

Tiong in a statement today said both regions would provide more options for tourists.

According to him, during a meeting with a representative from Salam Air recently, they were informed that the airline is studying the possibility of opening routes to cities in Malaysia outside of Kuala Lumpur, including Penang and Langkawi.

He said that he has promised to give SalamAir full support in the matter.

“Once the plan is successfully implemented, we will work together on promotional activities,” Tiong added. — DayakDaily
